On the occasion of his visit to the UK, the 17th Karmapa, head of the Kagyu school, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, pays a visit to the peace garden at the Imperial War museum. He is greeted by supporters, buddhists and members of the Tibetan community in exile. With a mix of ritual, deference, enthusiasm, and anticipation, preparations are made to greet the young man in monk’s robes.
